Learning About Avalanches & Outdoor First Aid

The Great Outdoors Track students learned about how to assess avalanche danger by reading the snow, and how to find victims of avalanches using probes and beacons.

Eagle Watching

The Junior High Track and the Great Outdoors Track combined to take a cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene to see the eagles. Bald eagles gather in the hundreds at Lake Coeur d'Alene in the winter to feed on the abundant kokanee.

Rock Climbing, Indoors! (And More)

Rain and snow outside, but nice and dry inside. The Great Outdoors Track borrowed the Sandpoint Rock Gym this morning to try their hand at rock climbing. Looks like fun! Good work, Mrs. Haag!
