Idaho State Forestry Contest

Clark Fork students from the Outdoor Track competed in their first Idaho State Forestry Contest this week. The contest is a competition that brings elementary, middle-school and high-school students together from around the state to test and compete at grade level on the skills they've acquired on a variety of forestry related topics, from tree and bush identification, to soil composition, compass and map reading, just to name a few.

Much thanks to all the volunteers that helped our team prepare for the competition, we'll be back next year.

Uber Cool Video!

Mr. Powell went above and beyond in creating this awesome video of the Outdoor Track. The students went up to Colburn Lake on Schweitzer Mountain to get water samples from the high-alpine lake. James Cope shot the footage, Mr. Powell did the video, and I think that is Mr. Mac doing the music.
