Primitive Skills Day 2 with Twin Eagles and Kanisku Land Trust

Primitive Skills Day 2
Another awesome day of fire building, making outdoor cooking vessels, and rope/string making with hides and grass.  Tracking the teachers through the forest, making rose hip tea, and being more aware of your surrounding were also included in this fun, fast-paced day!  Thanks to all the instructors from Twin Eagle Outdoor Education!

Students were better dressed for this one!  Winter-time at Judy's Place!

Soils with Kaniksu and NRCS November 19

Thank you to Greg and Allison!  Great day of learning about types of soil and how to plan ahead when building!
Judy's Place was a great place to put our learning into action!

Clark Fork Delta - More pics!

Hello again from the Clark Fork Delta!  The Great Outdoor Track headed out on the Delta Queen a couple of weeks ago to revisit the site of our spring planting.  Plants and trees are looking great, but some weeds have found there way in.  Kathy and Kate with Idaho Fish and Game led us on a weed hunt.  We bagged tansy, mullen, and thistle.  Lots of work, but very rewarding loading the boat with bag after bag full of nasty weeds!  The students were great and so was the weather!

Wow Spencer!
