Clark Fork Delta - More pics!

Hello again from the Clark Fork Delta!  The Great Outdoor Track headed out on the Delta Queen a couple of weeks ago to revisit the site of our spring planting.  Plants and trees are looking great, but some weeds have found there way in.  Kathy and Kate with Idaho Fish and Game led us on a weed hunt.  We bagged tansy, mullen, and thistle.  Lots of work, but very rewarding loading the boat with bag after bag full of nasty weeds!  The students were great and so was the weather!

Wow Spencer!

Two Days at Judy's Place

Judy's Place 10/15 and 10/20

Recently, the Great Outdoor Track was treated to a couple of days on a beautiful 80 acre property near the Montana/Idaho border.  Regan from Kaniksu Land Trust was able to assemble some current and retired forestry folks from the state of Idaho and National Forest Service.  Clark Fork students and teachers learned tree identification, scaling, compass use/bearing, timber cruising, pacing, and map use.  We also performed a service of appreciation by pruning White Pine for blister rust protection.  Each day the students and teachers loaded up the bus tired and much more knowledgeable!  A sincere thank you goes out to all who helped make our Judy's Place Days so memorable.  We are excited to visit again.
